Most likely you needed more relays. If you only have the starter set your notes will be harder for others to find.
You can see the relays other people are using and join some of them. Keep in mind there are paid and free relays and you might want to consider spending some sats to get onto some of the higher quality ones that filter out spam, if you start to see any.
Relay management takes a little time and tweaking to get right.
