In today’s world it’s super important to build a business with censorship resistance in mind, especially where things like financial services are concerned. While I understand that Deribit made a logical business decision to comply with the law, the censors will not hesitate to prohibit you from providing legal goods and services to anyone they deem to be an enemy, even if it’s to the detriment of your business.

Such are the perils of centralized control where you require permission from the state in the form of a “business license” (aka company registration) in order for you to trade. This is why protocols > platforms, and now that we have permissionless money in #bitcoin , it’s high time we reimagined how to trade with each other without using antiquated structures like “the company”. #musings #permissionless
