Pet peeve: blatantly wrong words in the captioning of videos nowadays. Is it just automatic and done by AI? There needs to be a way for humans to edit them.

I wouldn't be surprised if there is a way to proof it. People just want to pump out content and probably assume the AI captions are good enough. Quantity over quality.

That’s why you see so many things written phonetically

Ex: “should of” instead of “should have” or “should’ve”

I have been seeing way worse than that. It’s definitely AI parsing the audio in a way a human would not.

Sometimes I wonder if it's done wrong on purpose to get people to comment with corrections. More comments = more algorithm boost

I’d guess that for some of them, but others are in videos of people trying to be professional and who are definitely smart enough to not have made those mistakes.
