I predict that when the US presidential election happens, if Trump is not on the ballet in all 50 states, there will be an actual armed insurrection. The people of America will not accept procedural tricks intended to force their vote. They will defend democracy with the barrels of their guns. And also, I hope it doesn't come to that. But why are they trying? What an idiotic and hyper-dangerous thing to try!

Don’t worry, they’ll cancel the election on some other grounds. There’ll be some kind of emergency reason why it’ll be “postponed”, then postponed again, etc.
I’ll take the other side of that bet. None of that will happen. People are too pacified at this point to do anything.

That was just a protest that members of the FBI whipped into a riot. They didn't actually insurrect (well, maybe a tiny core did, I dunno) because while people were highly suspicious that some cheating happened, nobody could be sure.
But what is happening now with blatently anti-democratic and blatently illegal (but may succeed despite that) attempts to get Trump taken off the ballot... people will be far more sure of what is happening, and so far more people will be driven to action with a righteous kind of anger, without the hesitation of not being sure if the vote was stolen or not.
That's my thinking anyways.

Mass shootings are very frequent in the US, are you telling me at least some of the people who do it wouldn't jump on an armed insurrection train? Specially then when a LOT of people view it as defending democracy?
If Trump loses bc he was not in the ballot on states he won before or was on track to win, that won't seat well with people one bit. Specially if Biden is switched at the Convention for Newsom. I think that would add salt to injury, and wouldn't end well.
I might be willing to bet money against this prediction, provided we can clarify what counts as an armed insurrection.
I'm not going to bet, but we can come back in a year and see what happened.
I mean that some group of people with guns will launch an attack on government buildings or officials that they believe are guilty of a grave violation of the constitution.
If Trump is on all ballots one way or the other, my prediction isn't relevant.
Biden is actually best opposition against Trump cos Trump cant get into his head, cos Joe isnt there.

I agree with the prediction. I think it is implicit in what you say that you mean that Trump loses as well as a result of it. If he miraculously wins despite that, or if his name is not on the ballot in a state or two like Hawaii, I don't think there would be an issurection.
But if Trump loses bc of it, and specially if they replace Biden with Newsom at the convention, it would look VERY bad.
Ok I made a prediction about this already, so this event upgrades my prediction to "there will be an actual armed insurrection.... when the US presidential election happens." I'm sad that it came to this. The argument that Trump engaged in insurrection is laughable.
