Don't really know. Rooting for, but been a good idea for a long time already. Fugu chipping away at things PWAs can do, not sure how important that is. Will WebAssembly sweep, and sweep along PWAs is a question.

I don't have any insight beyond the many articles on this topic when it was announced in 2021. Seems there's a UserVoice style site for Firefox that I didn't know existed where there's a steady stream of people arguing about it to this day https://connect.mozilla.org/t5/ideas/bring-back-pwa-progressive-web-apps/idi-p/35/page/28#comments
