Call me crazy but i do think that pollution and environmental destruction are actually bad, and “sustainability” of the degree to which civilization does such things is important
Discussion
ESG is a psyop
ESG investment funds or requirements is a corrupt fiat psyop, yes
But still
Some amount of it is fine. The rest is bad, but most of it is caused by government and a lack of respect for private property.
Pollution and environmental degradation are definitely bad but co2 ≠ pollution. Also, some degree of degradation is necessary for humanity to live and progress. Just some nuances I feel are worth mentioning.
Agree
Yes environmental stewardship is very important, and it should be grounded in sound science.
The movement to curb energy consumption and reduce CO2 is anti human.
I think we are on the same page then. There is reality and then there are the insidious constructs of fiat world, two completely different and detached realms
Did you see this interview with Dr Willie Soon about bad climate science?
Nope, thanks. Bonus points for flare.pub link 🤌
Agreed, however some clarification is needed imo. I think it is definitely integral for large corporations and production companies to limit their environmental destruction as it happens so quickly on such a large scale, but on an individual level doing so is next to unimportant. Even at a social scale of a town it’s arguably non-consequential. Cities, states, & countries need to step up.
Totally with you on that. I just sometimes feel like there is an overcompensation for the “Bitcoin boils the oceans” fud among some bitcoiners, which leads to disregarding the fact that humanity does have an impact on the state of nature.
Bitcoin miners using lots of energy is not a big deal, but that doesn’t mean anything about the scale and the ways in which pollution and destruction occur from other industries, such as mining for rare elements
absolutely.
Regenerative > sustainable
