Agreed, however some clarification is needed imo. I think it is definitely integral for large corporations and production companies to limit their environmental destruction as it happens so quickly on such a large scale, but on an individual level doing so is next to unimportant. Even at a social scale of a town it’s arguably non-consequential. Cities, states, & countries need to step up.

Totally with you on that. I just sometimes feel like there is an overcompensation for the “Bitcoin boils the oceans” fud among some bitcoiners, which leads to disregarding the fact that humanity does have an impact on the state of nature.

Bitcoin miners using lots of energy is not a big deal, but that doesn’t mean anything about the scale and the ways in which pollution and destruction occur from other industries, such as mining for rare elements
