How did you setup your BTCpay out of curiosity? Finding my way around Nostr.
Discussion
I run it on a remote server, eg lunanode or voltage.
I used to have a private channel linked to my own node that provided the liquidity. That was clunky though so now I just have it linked to a custodial service like Blink or Strike and it works seamlessly. When I receive payments I then just transfer the sats back to my own non-custodial solution.
I then created a subdomain on my website btcpay.yourwebsite.com and point the btc server to that. BTC pay Server have a Wordpress plugin that adds BTCpay as a payment option.
I’m not that technical so it just took a bit of tinkering and persistence to get it to work. BTCPay server have some good tutorials.
With Nostr, it’s a bit of bitcoin chat room at the moment. But I’m just gonna keep posting photographs until it’s not and the community widens.
Thanks that’s really useful because I’ve setup a Voltage account earlier last month and just need to get my head around it. The only thing that hasn’t worked so far is the free channel, that is still setting up many weeks later but when thinking about it this might be due to the size of data it needs to pull in from across the chain.
I’m treating Nostr as a sort of blog for all of the things I’m working on, photography, music and technology as a whole.
I managed to get a wallet on Primal.net today, which wasn’t available a month back.
