Had the same experience. I even fed it live wasps. It just closed and then opened after two days. I guess the prey is supposed to fall on the soil and "fertilize" it.
I have one of these carnivorous plants. Some months ago, a fly got stuck there for over a week and my plant did absolutely nothing 🤣

It seems even plants don’t want to “eat ze bugz”.
