There's definitely value in expert opinion. I don't know how that should be handled but we have to account for it in something like wikifreedia.

A lot of people CAN be wrong all at once. Reddit is full of these types of examples. It just takes someone who actually works in that field to prove them all wrong.

Maybe one way is to allow people to list their profession / credentials etc and somehow be able to verify that. Not that we should listen to all experts at all times, but it could help weigh some answers between anons and people who wish to back up what they say.

Brainstorming: If I highlight part of the text, I could add a citation/link/reference that would lock that part of the text down until it gets challenged enough times to be unlocked. If it is not challenged, that means that people have seen and confirmed the reference, ensuring accuracy.

Who we are doesn't matter. What matters is how accurate our words are.

I would like to see both. I do agree that what you say is more important than who you are, but I'd also want to know if that person has any experience where experience matters. I would trust a respected brain surgeon on brain surgery procedure vs. anon
