We are mostly off grid. 100% dependant on rain water for the whole homestead. Storage of water is essential for us and we need to be mindful about usage and keep records of rainfall, total capture and usage. We have separate storage for the livestock, gardens and house use but all are linked so we can shift water around if needed.
