Hi i had this idea: please react so I can see if you have seen it, i sometimes lose my own messages due to problems with relay connections...

Anyway, quick thing is:

Merging reposts into one indicator that has a counter counting all reposts that you havent read yet. So this is decreasing when u scroll. All new reposts will be ignored because uve already seen it.

Nobody implemented this yet, even though I think its extremely simple...

Interesting idea. We definitely want to avoid the repetitive reposts, sometimes very close to one another in the feed. We are looking at the best way to do this and we'll keep your suggestion in mind.

Thank you!

Similar to Twitterrific’s old timeline sync feature with a counter for new posts. But good idea about reposts. There needs to be a way not to see the same post over and over (too close together, same day?) just cuz several ppl I follow reposted

Thank you!

Thank you very much!

More detail of what I had in mind:

Only reposts without other content then the mention of the event itself should be hidden or merged, or otherwise only the original post should be hidden in all reposts...

If a repost is merged or ignored, still show position on timeline with reposter profile + post "stats" but without content.

When the counter reaches 0 (latest available repost is reached) remove indicator and show reposter profile and after that, the original post. New reposts of that event kept hidden, with only a small reference of already being read.

A seperate panel is probably needed to make sure there is enough space to feature te indicators of all different reposts. Altough this would incentivice people to unnececary reposts, wasting data, so maybe the rules need to change a bit.
