A winter dawn in the desert insinuates its cold fingers under loose layers to chill anything that isn't wrapped tight against the wind.
I always fumble with my camera, trying to set up a shot of the sunrise while wearing gloves. It never really works. At some point, the gloves come off, and the countdown starts to the point when my fingers will be numb and unresponsive.
But for those views of the rosy shades of dawn over the desert below, it's worth it!
