I don't like that we are looking at govt to adopt something that was made to replace the current money frame work. The govt will just try and box bitcoin in to tax, track, and trace.

I'd rather a new system outside of the one we are operating in.

We don't need the dollar to run on Bitcoin, we need Bitcoin instead of using the dollar. Otherwise this whole things fails.

We can take the existing framework and replace the dollars with sats. Point of sales systems with btc pay servers.

But businesses will have to want it.

Agreed

But governments by buying bitcoin are essentially putting their money printer at risk.

Why will any bond holder buy their shitcoin if they see that the government is hedging their bets.

They have a lot to lose.

That is why it is contradictory to see some people defending the same system that has harmed us for years.

The rest of the world wants dollar stablecoins instead of bitcoin, so bonds are in no immediate danger

I'm rooting for the trojan horse

I think most of us are

If bitcoin does anything. I'd be more willing to see bitcoin be the people's money and be used to fund things we the people believe in and be able to show it literally on chain. Not being able to see what big cooperation interests back allows them alot of power imo. Just an opinion on the people being able to truly vote with there wallets and not have a government print money for there own interests.

The NGU crowd has taken over (for now). They’re fiat junkies as far as I’m concerned.

+1

I would add that #bitcoin should stay on course as the defecto peer to peer electronic cash system that doesn’t require an intermediary.

We can’t lose course on this or the whole project will be for nothing.

No taxes, no surveillance, no permission needed
