Our trip to Mexico is getting closer and over the next 10 days, I’m going to get very fidgety! Any suggestions for places reachable safely from Playa del Carmen? We’ve got some booked already such as Xcaret and planning to visit Tulim and Tzchicjen Itza (I’ve mistyped that for sure)

Bienvenidos. The Mayan Peninsula is pretty safe in public squares and downtowns. Merida and Izamal are quite popular currently. Just try not to get too much deep into the jungle nor the nightlife. Have fun and be safe ;).
That’s great advice hence zapped you for the help. We are very wary of venturing too far off any particular path and I shall look up these towns.
