I respect the innovation and cleanliness of the Bauhaus movement, it was anti-nationalist and promoted function as form. It shocked a lot of traditionalist people, which is why it was so controversial for its time.
Classical architecture is beautiful, but that doesn’t make it right for every purpose.
I agree, philosophically, they were one of the best. I mean at the end of the day you can't really hate honesty.
We haven't peaked yet! Modern minimalist architecture is an artifact of labor costs and energy/material efficiency, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. As we accelerate into reduced material scarcity, we'll have an expansion of creativity and neobaroque intricacies and detail.
