This is a deer tick. I pulled this off my dog this morning. These things are nasty here in PA and always should do a check after being in the woods, especially in spring and fall.

fuck those things.

Sooo many ticks right now. Tiny little bastards.

They are hard to kill. I put them in a cup with bleach, which does the trick.

🎯 Lyme’s disease is no joke.

💯 it is especially worse the longer it goes untreated. My wife had/has it. She went to a Lymes specific doctor, which got her back from the symptoms. He prescribed the famous hydroxychloroquine and other antibiotics plus some natural supplements.

Good to hear she’s on the mend….many go years undiagnosed.

Once, I had 7 of those on my body after a mountain hiking

😳

yikes.

i just kill them. don't care about the type. bloody parasites

Worth knowing. You can also use clear tape and trap them for later testing if you don’t feel well.

My son had one which we sent for testing. Came back positive. We got him a round of doxycycline and he never had any issues.

It depends on your medical system and your docs. So my experience was slightly different

🤮 nasty things. I think the lone star tick gives an allergy to meat 🥩

i love spiders, but those mf are gross 🤢

oh noo.. it started alteady? I hate those little monsters 😖

Those infest my area. They are the primary spreaders of Lyme disease so everyone has to take caution while hiking in the woods.

Also, the Lonestar ticks have started moving up here too, which I assume you have already.

I'm not sure which is worse!

Haven’t seen that one here yet. Most are common black legged ticks.
