Many in the fiat world and in the bitcoin world think the two systems can coexist.
I don't think they can.

The are incompatible because the only logical trade is to sell fiat and hold Bitcoin.
They can and will coexist but only until enough people figure that out.
Right. Currently they are coexisting and the window of time in which that can happen is temporary in my view.
Agreed all fiat currencies collapse sooner or later. However, people and governments will likely always try to play some form of fiat games to attempt to get something for nothing.
The difference is that now with the option to hold #Bitcoin it becomes much more difficult to continue the fiat scharade.
There is the transition period that we are living through where they appear to be co-existing but itβs really just the ascent of one and the descent of another. They cannot exist together.
0 exists ...
There needs to be a bridge for POS transactions to speed adoption. We need a lightning debit card that works everywhere, in order to move it along.
Welcome to bitcoin. The key to proof of work is that you can actually demonstrate value rather than just saying things π§‘
GM, not new here .. concur with your point re: coexistence.. but the masses won't manage a cliff dive from fiat .. the individual or group that sorts out a digestible transition method will have served the world well.
I agree that would be preferable, but at this point it doesn't seem likely and it's far from necessary. Glad you're thinking about solutions.
I'm always cautious with people saying, "We need to" do anything.
It also appears I misinterpreted POS to mean proof of stake rather than point of sale, which is what I imagine you meant π
