Manually blocking and reporting was never scalable. Prob need content correlation to blocked/spammed content and npubs.

So, Facebook style shadowban city, eventually.
Yeah this is what we were escaping with Onyx lol, unfortunately it won't just be spam bots that are caught up in this but also unpopular people (whatever reasons that may involve). Which isn't great imo.
Maybe damus could have a fork with this opporiate direction, that would be funny. Sumad
This is great and fun, but it isn't "it", or as many would like it, the replacement.
Agreed. I understand the reasoning, but it can't be dictated by a client or be a default. It may have few victims of collateral damage now, but eventually it always ends up with a subsect of people who just pissed off the wrong people who get suppressed unbenounced to the majority.
Moderation councils
As long as you subscribe to it optionally and it's not client centric. Otherwise we're building echo chambers people don't know they are in.
User centric
nostr:npub1njst6azswskk5gp3ns8r6nr8nj0qg65acu8gaa2u9yz7yszjxs9s6k7fqxand nostr:npub1cpstx8lzhwctunfe80rugz5qsj9ztw8surec9j6mf8phha68dj6qhm8j5e are both correct. If the end user does not have control, or at least the ability to exit the moderation system we are no longer decentralized.
Yes, it should happen in a transparent way, with opting in and out. Amethyst wasn't at all transparent, and obviously they didn't have the opt out option either. Hence Onyx.
