Manually blocking and reporting was never scalable. Prob need content correlation to blocked/spammed content and npubs.

Yeah this is what we were escaping with Onyx lol, unfortunately it won't just be spam bots that are caught up in this but also unpopular people (whatever reasons that may involve). Which isn't great imo.

Agreed. I understand the reasoning, but it can't be dictated by a client or be a default. It may have few victims of collateral damage now, but eventually it always ends up with a subsect of people who just pissed off the wrong people who get suppressed unbenounced to the majority.

Yes, it should happen in a transparent way, with opting in and out. Amethyst wasn't at all transparent, and obviously they didn't have the opt out option either. Hence Onyx.

I have them muted, so I do not see them when they come upβ¦maybe a muted filter? Say if they have been muted by x amount of or been muted x amount of timesβ¦?
I think maybe a two pronged approach is needed. 1, either clients or wallets need to enable a minimum zap threshold the user can set. If a zap doesn't exceed a base amount the set up it just doesn't generate an invoice and errors or clients allow a notification filter so any zaps under a certain threshold don't generate a notification or display a message.
And 2, we hunt down the Optimism people who are spammy af and sacrifice them to appease the Nostrich gods.
Even simpler, clients shouldn't display notifications of zaps from muted accounts.
