In case someone wants to locally test Stratum V2, re-wrote quick doc on how to run local CPU SV1 miner connecting to a Translation Proxy which translates the messages and connects to self-hosted or hosted SV2 Pool. It's really easy and cool.

Read docs here https://github.com/pavlenex/stratumprotocol.org/blob/getting-started/src/getting-started.md#config-1-sv1-firmware--translation-proxy--sv2-pool

If you do test it, LMK any feedback on the doc.

A Damn fine rabbit hole sir

Hopefully it’s not that hard, give it a try 🤞

So is the idea that existing miners can be use for sv2 just by connecting to a sv2 pool, or do miners need a software change?

Exactly, in this particular config, that’s exactly the idea. No firmware upgrade is needed, they can run any existing sv1 firmware and tProxy handles the translation and connection to the SV2 pool.
