No, you are just describing civilization.

Division of labor is why we can have nice things. Not everyone needs to know how to farm, just as not everyone needs to know how to produce power, medicine, shelter, transportation, etc.

Imo what we need is better urban development. We need cities built to maximize human well being while allowing for commerce.

Retrieving to the mountains is not the solution.
