Judging by the latest Nintendo Direct, Switch 2 has an excellent launch lineup of games, but it's also clear that Nintendo is set on monetizing everything. Literally every option, expansion, and add-on is paid.

Pc and android gaming has free online systems. So thats where I will mostly game. I hate monthly subscriptions.
Nintendo Direct left me with mixed feelings. The games look fantastic, but I can't shake the sense that a wealthy corporation is determined to squeeze every last penny out of me.
In that regard, while Steam Deck is also a business, it feels like it takes a more consumer-friendly approach. That’s why I’d rather wait for more details on Steam Deck 2 before making a decision.
Honestly, if I lived in Japan, the choice would be a no-brainer — Nintendo is deeply ingrained in the Japanese market.
I love my steam deck but it's huge and heavy. I often just stream my steam games to my phone with a razor kishi from my big gaming machine.
Looking at the performance of the new Lenovo handheld running steamOS, it's not much better than the steam deck.
So I think we are atleast 2 years off from a new steam deck. Maybe longer.
I think for games like Elden Ring, the new switch is going to feel great.

Но надо понимать, что это не японская история. Сам японский рынок он маленький, а основа это Штаты. Оттуда всё это говно и капает.
На английском сейчас "инвалид", то есть "не годный", а ранее "не годный к военной службе" звучит как анахронизм, мне прям уши режет. А уж в текущих условиях ведения войны... 🤗
