you can already use a self-hostable version of github, e.g. gitlab or gitea

how would it be assembled? that's for individual users to discover in much the same way users assemble unix tools like cat, echo, grep, awk, in infinite different ways, tied together by the underlying construct of |, >, >>, &, etc.

Having individual CLI tools for each part of git doesn’t get us any closer to that goal. Git CLI is already built perfectly.

There’s a bigger picture here. We want a UI and social experience secured with great cryptography. That’s what we’re building.

as with pretty much every interaction I have with you, you reply to something I didn't say...

the command line tools were examples of building blocks that can be assembled together, I was NOT saying we should rebuild git's cli.......

yeah, I muted him a couple weeks ago, and the few times I click on "view note from muted user" is something that reaffirms the decision to mute him

I don't get it, I have disagreements with other people but he is always arguing against stuff I'm not saying in unnecessary aggressive ways

I'm glad I can talk with you because I do have interest in what you guys are building, I just can't afford to defend strawmen and arguments I never made! 🤷‍♂️

Honestly man, all you do in our discussions is attack my character or attitude and dodge discussing the tech’ I propose. Martti and others see its promise.

Perhaps we’ve both misinterpreted each other a few times. Happy to clear things up in person at Nostrasia in Tokyo if you want!
