Was just filling up the work truck with diesel ($5.50/gal 🤡) and the old timer next to me nervously started a conversation about how he was short money this month and didn’t have funds for enough gas to get his prescription and get home. Asked me if he “could bum a couple gallons” for his trip.

It was actually heartbreaking. He told me about filling up the tank in his Studebaker in 1958 for $3. He was distraught and ashamed. I filled his tank up, we swapped stories for a bit, shook hands and went our separate ways.

Inflation touches everyone. Fiat destroys lives. Fuck these central bank criminals who are syphoning life from everyone.

You definitely would have. I’m from a drug infested region and wary of scams but this was just an old guy down on his luck. Faced with a world that’s left him far behind. Breaks my heart to see the way he was hurting.
