People don't understand 4g and 5g. They know that 5 is a larger number. Larger is better. That's the end of it.
You are right though about decentralization. The average person doesn't understand it. That's because they've never had to understand it. They don't see it's benefits, because they've never been in a situation where decentralization would have benefited them. Most people are like this. Once something bad happens to them or a friend or family member, they'll learn about how it could have been prevented.
All we can do as people that do understand this technology is to be educators and try to help them understand it before it's too late.
