Celebrities and big tech people are always going to be the outliers in data collection. It's the ordinary people who are the real fuel and they are the ones who are more into social media.
I just finished a mini project on LogisticRegression ๐
posting after a long time on #Nostr. I hope y'all are doing great ๐
I'm currently busy with work and studying for switching to DS/ML job. Wish me luck ๐คฒ
So, in a way everything will be a single place and twitter, threads will be just different clients through which you access tweets/threads/texts/notes?
A genuine question.
Now, Threads is taking the stage and we see people don't really care about how their data is taken and used as long as they get something back (be it in the form of entertainment, an intellectual space or just a platform to vent). But privacy and decentralisation is really important and necessary as we know that.
We saw Mastodon not making any huge impact even thought it tried to solve the problems twitter was creating but Threads just won it all.
When are we expecting Nostr to go live as a finished product? When should we expect people to sign up for Nostr?
What's the main selling point of Nostr?
I'll be honest with my fellow #Nostrichs , I joined threads yesterday and was immediately hooked and then I was like "will nostr ever make such big impact?"
I saw Mastodon failing, I feel like Nostr and Bluesky will fail as well and the reason being that these platforms are not normie friendly.
We want a social media app which will have a huge impact, not a bubble with niche audience.

I look at it quite differently. Social media is essentially a gossip or a meet-up but digitally. Now, think of it - would you allow your child to take part in a real life meet-up where alcohol is served and people are high and cussing?
I'd assume, we will take our children to parks or funzones so that they meet other kids and are always under adult supervision. Is there a way to recreate this on the internet?
Yes. There is but it'd be like a digital park where children even though would be under adult supervision yet they could sneak out anytime.
I don't know if I'm making any sense ๐
spent an entire day training the wrong Target variable ๐

Thanks. I'll work for sometime and try to take a nap later. Health comes first ๐ค
No. Not this. I meant something on the lines of Publish0x but for books including hardware like kindle.
nostr:npub18ams6ewn5aj2n3wt2qawzglx9mr4nzksxhvrdc4gzrecw7n5tvjqctp424 how do you see this idea?
Would be actually a really great idea. Authors would have control over their books, it'll reduce piracy and how great would it be if authors could be paid using Bitcoin. I see a great potential in it.
I was specifically asking for decentralised platforms and an alternative for Kindle if something is in works already.
Hello #nostrich family.
How do you see decentralised technology changing eBook culture? Is there any platform already offering an alternative to Kindle or eBooks in general.
