You can use 3 things:

1- Google Play in the usual way all other apps do, without any other do (obviously this requires the "Play" flavor of Amethyst.

2- Via UnifiedPush with ntfy and other apps like that.

3- Via Pokey which stays connected to your inbox servers and sends the events to Amethyst for the Notification.

Yep, how are you installing the app?

Just side loaded if you installed the other flavor from Obtainium or ZapStore: https://github.com/vitorpamplona/amethyst/releases/download/v0.94.3/amethyst-googleplay-universal-v0.94.3.apk
