Social credit scores are already here. A low credit score affects all of this:
- Employers might not hire you
- Landlords might not rent to you
- Utilities corps might not serve you
- Insurance corps might charge you more
- Judges in child support cases might charge you less
People worry it might come over from China. But it's already here for years now. They probably got the idea from us.

We are so afraid of our government becoming "fascist" and "eugenic", going around "othering" people with these labels...
All the while we invented it decades before and our "enemies" were simply following our lead.

Credit score is extra stupid thing in the US.
It's an important concept, it's just better calculated from nostr events.
As someone with a low to almost non-existent credit score, I can confirm this.
