It bothers me that Google and Apple don’t contribute to and use OpenStreetMap data. Another example of where open protocols are better than platforms for the overall good of humanity, but they chose to build in a closed way so I’m locked in because their data accuracy is arguably the best.

💯 agree. it's fucked. i totally get it. i'm okay with slightly less accuracy for more privacy. i've actually been quite happy with OM (OSM). i'm a firm believer that InfoSec education brings needed awareness and that leads to more people using and donating to privacy-first open-source tools, the rest will come
