Not if Grayscale charges you 1.5%

If 1 #Bitcoin != 1 #Bitcoin then I don't buy

And that said is “at best”. Because it’ll be a paper Bitcoin.

It isn't BTC either and GBTC comes with a 1.5 tax

No one said it was. Same as how no one is saying the ETFs are Bitcoin.

There is a cost to self custody as well, albeit lower than 1.5% in most cases.

Pretty sure these are fees on an annual basis. So it's actually worse than this.
