It makes me feel sad and disappointed. Human connection and interaction is far more important than whatever they could be listening to unless they are going to discuss it afterwards as a source of communication. Perhaps they are listening to something mindful but are still on a walk together. Sometimes that can be a healthy thing too. Hard to say what’s actually taking place but I do agree that technology can get in the way.

That’s a great point. I hope that’s the case. Still, I’d prefer direct communication, especially if I’m out for a walk on a beautiful day

I agree! I’d much rather enjoy the company of who I’m with and the surroundings even if not constantly chatting than be distracted by listening to something individually.
