I only check nostr a few times a week, it would be nice to see the most popular notes from my follows from the past few days
I think chronological isn't very good for casual users who don't spend too much time

Nostur has this option. You can adjust the timeframe on that feed from 2 hrs up to the previous 48 hrs. It comes in handy from time to time.
Also probably just depends on what you expect when opening a social app. I don’t really care what people had to say 2-3 days ago. By that point those posts would be old news anyway, and I’d rather just see what’s being talked about when I open it.
