Chronological feeds of your actual follows and zaps are so much more enjoyable than algorithmic “for you” feeds and likes.

💯 quoting corn builds a sense of community 😂

It's fun to imagine this stuff happening among multiple little follow-communities that don't overlap much.

💯

Accidental refreshes don't throw you into a whole new timeline anymore, it's so refreshing!

Haha exactly 🤣🙌

Idk how we did fb/Twitter for so long

The instant Facebook switched to an algo feed, it stopped being fun. Everyone bitched about it for a week then moved on and kept using it..

That and the scammer ads that litter the feed.

I remember tracking the ad : post ratio and watching the number of ads grow and grow over time. It amazed me how quickly they were dialled up. Then the suggested posts were faded in, until it became pretty much unusable.

I only check nostr a few times a week, it would be nice to see the most popular notes from my follows from the past few days

I think chronological isn't very good for casual users who don't spend too much time

Nostur has this option. You can adjust the timeframe on that feed from 2 hrs up to the previous 48 hrs. It comes in handy from time to time.

Also probably just depends on what you expect when opening a social app. I don’t really care what people had to say 2-3 days ago. By that point those posts would be old news anyway, and I’d rather just see what’s being talked about when I open it.

Here’s what that looks like in Nostur

Is there an android alternative for Nostur? I use Primal and dont see this option
