I believe that attracting consumers of content is more important than attracting creators of content. With a few good creators you attract thousands of good consumers. But most normies who are new to nostr don't even own bitcoin and get their first sats on nostr. We need to zap more consumer normies and have them become excited about nostr and become marketers and onramps.

X rewards creators for attracting eyes but there is no reward on X for the content consumer besides the content. Content on nostr is just as good as on X if not better. We must just zap more normies to show appreciation for their support and engagement.

Meaning this: Know thy follower.

(Don't zap welfare parasites.)

Content creators on X treat their following like a statistic. Why care? X pays you. Not the follower.

On nostr we pay each other directly peer to peer. The consumer of content has a much better mutual respect coming from the creator.

I must confess that I don't mind pissing off everyone and not get zapped ever. I did not join nostr to extract value but to add. (And chew bubblegum) It just happens that I keep having sats to zap around because I keep getting zapped.

New content consuming bitcoiners will have to survive a cycle or two before they can meaningfully show appreciation to their favourite creators. We must measure the growth of nostr in halving cycles.

PS: I wonder if there is a way to measure which political orientations are more inclined to spread zaps around? I am willing to bet that the right are more generous than the left.
