I think Argentina is the next country to adopt Bitcoin, so I’m moving down there in September. AMA.

Not sure where you're moving from. But what makes you feel this way? Obv their currency over the past decade or longer sets up an environment needed help.

Whether it’s dollarization (which would be a temporary triage of sorts) or Bitcoin adoption, the two leading presidential candidates, and the vast majority of the population, are in favor of abandoning the peso, and therefore the Argentinian Central Bank. Perfect void for Bitcoin to move into in similar fashion to what has occurred in El Salvador. Argentinians actually know who Bukele is and are pointing to the drop in crime and rise in economic optimsm as an example to follow.

Oh I didn't know more than 1 Pres candidate favoured BTC. That's impressive. Is it both the front runners? What's your sector of work?

Correct, both are frontrunners. As I’m Argentinian I’ll be partking in my first presidential election to vote for Bitcoin one way or another. I’m a mortgage broker about to sell my house for BTC if you want another interesting topic to kick around, lol.

Former 9th Grade English teacher and ESL intstructor as well, would love to hear more about your work with teachers. Planning on implementing some sort of community-focused BTC education and advocacy in Córdoba, Argentina where I’ll be located.

Oh wow. Same trajectory!!!

I'm in contact with the Mi Primer Bitcoin developers who are working to implement BTC curriculum in El Salvador with a 10 week Bitcoin Diploma Program. There's a download free source on GitHub.

Amazing, was unaware! I have some mutual contacts down there and intend to (hopefully) make a trip to glean some of the lessons they’ve learned along the way. Tip of the spear initiative they’ve got going on down there!

I’m in lending bc if I can’t orange pill people the 2nd-best route for wealth preservation for 9/10 retail folks is owning their primary residence as long as their mortgage is decently below inflation and they didn’t buy a money pit. Also looking into helping people cash in their equity to buy abroad, but that’s a work in progress.

Why the switch from teaching to lending? Where are you currently located?

Currently in Mexico City, which I tell people is like living in another state without the tax implications (provided the person has residency).

Maestro 🙌🏼

KB - whatchu got man? What’s on your heart that we should hear about?

Ready to listen!

Haha. I've been thinking lately about bankers and the people working at banks. Not upper management. The banking plebs if you will. I think we ought to go easy on most of them... Compassion.

They're a product of a system, not the problem. Most are neighbours and well meaning people that literally were taught the "Banking Paradigms".

Bitcoin essentially explodes their world view.

We need to remember this. They aren't the policy makers or "elites". They're just Plebs like us in a sense.

I have a feeling a lot of them are the EXACT ones that will be ready to take the orange pill once adoption hits a topping point.

IMO we need to orange pill them slowly and only when they're ready. Meet people where they are.

...

I'm also really into Scotch and Red Wine right now so drop a recommendation if you have one.

...

AND I have Rasp Pi 3 I want to run a BTC node on, a LN node on or mine Monero with. Thoughts?

...

What's up with you?

1) love the new pfp

2) bankers: I agree we shouldn’t be upset with those who work for the banks. Even some upper management. Most are probably just doing a job they went to school for and want to provide for their family, who they love more than anything.

I think a big root issue here is the financial education. Most people are financially illiterate(by design) and what is taught, is Kensian school of economics. When the past 50 years is your world view and understanding of money…. It’s hard to shake that up. They may believe they are just playing in the rules of the system that they are too small to change or opt out of.

We should be orange pilling as many as we can.

3) my phone won’t let me post and scroll so I’m trying to remember. I think scotch and wine.

I’m a bourbon guy, so I don’t have my preferences to share on scotch. I can recommend some quality bourbons though.

For wine. Dry + red and I’m happy. Sheriff, out of California, makes some good wine. Give them a check.

Sheriff I believe is the brand. My uncle will order them by the case and gave them as Christmas presents this past year.

4) never used the pie! Very interesting in trying it.

Me: I’m going through interviews right now and trying to land a job. Had one yesterday that went well. And another company wants be to visit again next week. Got a wedding to plan for this fall, and having fun actually discussing Bitcoin on this app. Twitter is very difficult to have a meaningful conversation on.

🧡

Thnx for the red wine recommendation. I'll get it if I see it locally.

Agree on the bankers. I don't think Keynes was wrong per se... It was just an incomplete view and theory. It's like... He wrote a starting piece that needed to be built out... But it never happened.

Anyways, Good luck on the job hunt 🫡⚡

Cut the nOiSe. Come hang and discuss... ⚡🤙♾️
