Very true. And I also started to really hate the idea of ātrendingā.
The only feature that I really want right now on Damus is the ability to curate lists.

Agreed. A second language is a completely different audience.
For me it's more about luring people in, although it's not a different thing. There's not too many Czechs and Slovaks (very similar language) at all, on Nostr we are like 10-15 active. Now there was at some point a few people joining in from mostr (mastodon), which sucked in thread conversation, and later for the rest I gave up.
Now we few talk mostly English even among us. And won't attract anyone from our corner.
Respectfully said: I hope it will remain in such a way that it's humans deciding on their own who & what to look at. Hoping hashtags remain same to be able to gather various views on situations ... from those who are at location now & their experiences versus being able to speak theoretically as well. š„°
