Your favorite self custody software is more important than the hardware.

My intention is to bring consciousness to the idea that Bitcoin self custody isn't dependent on corporations selling you difficult to verify hardware.
Bitcoin custody very much is reliant on Free & Open Source Software development of tools that can be improved indefinitely by whoever carries on the torch(es).
Bitcoin private keys are generated using easy to verify math, not hard to verify software.
To learn more, try to use bip39 word list & create your own random seed & subsequent wallet with the physical word list cut up into 2048 unique pieces.
Once you've created a wallet like this once, you'll understand Bitcoin custody better than most.
