Same thing when boys complain to me every year about international women's day. "Why don't we have international men's day" (with a sneering tone). My reply is always "it's been international men's day for the last 10 000 years."

the only days i respect are the ones created by the arrangements of sun, moon and planets
Every day should just be 'Treat others with a bit of respect day' and we can just be better to each other.
When I was very young, I asked my parents: If there’s a Mother’s Day and a Father’s Day, is there a Kid’s Day? I was told that every day is Kid’s Day. I was not satisfied by that response. Now that I have kids, I understand.
This is actually a fantastic representation of Jesus’s parable of The Lost Sheep. The shepherd leaves the 99 sheep to go find the one that’s in trouble. The other sheep might complain: “What about us? Don’t we matter?” Of course you matter, but you are safe. It’s the lost sheep that needs my attention right now.
