What is a good free android audio player, especially for audiobooks? (I can't even find a default music player on my new phone lol.)

Auxio works pretty well for me.

But also android music player app?

Musicolet comes up a lot ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Vlc does the job for me

For pretty much anything audio or video related

Yes VLC

Does it resume from last position tho? Say if you had an audiobook which was 7hrs long.

I'm trying musicolet which has this within advanced options, not played around with it enough to see what files it actually supports (I'm assuming it plays flac, hopefully lol).

If VLC does have this option for sure I'd go for it cos I know it pretty much plays anything you throw at it

Pretty sure resume works for video, i haven't noticed or put any settings to do it for audio. Might have to write down your pausing position on a napkin 😂

I use Evie for audio books. But it's not a music player.

audiobooks? antennapod

I didn't realise antennapod can play stored audio (?) I will have to investigate, I really like the sleep timed off option, perfect for bedtime listening

it does

you just import folders or those Audiobook files with Chapter information and they behave as podcasts

been using poweramp; 1 time purchase. it's pretty decent, library and audio wise. the equalizer rocks and the optional visuals are slick.

I use Pulsar for music. My only gripe is that I have a handful of WMA files from waaay back that it won't play.

I keep waiting for someone to come out with a FOSS music player that I don't hate

VLC?
