When Emin Gun Sirer was launching Avalanche the theme of his promotional tour was the concept that 'Satoshi is dead' meaning not just the creator of Bitcoin but the tech also. How's that theory currently playing out? Altcoins are currently looking like useless trash and are 10 a penny while $BTC remains 'the killer app'.

This isn't a dig at Gun Sirer and it's a fair observation to make that technology doesn't or is yet to reach a peak where no further progression is required or can be had. Maybe $BTC is the peak of our lifetimes but could Bitcoins maximalists one day become luddites?

Just a few seem to realize what exactly a Protocol is/does/need.

Once a Protocol is working there isn't often a reason for improvements.

Look at the TCP/IP Protocol (internet).

The only requirements are:

Do what is is supposed to do and maximum uptime !

That also explains any and all changes should not only be weighted and inspected like Gold bars but way more since it literally would affect all Gold in the world 🤯.

For #Bitcoin some argue with the default aspects like throughput (#of transactions per second).

But is is fully debunked by second or possible more layers like Lightning is one working right now.

The "that is not real $Bitcoin" argument is just funny comming from them that promote shitcoins 🤔 🤣

Once understood these things seem easy, but for those who don't have a clue it is a different world to explore.
