If either of them were 'hacked' all the miners wouod point their miners somewhere else. They dont own 51% of the rigs.
Wrong. The 'hashers' wouldn't know until the hackers had exited with a successful doublespend.
Bitcoin Magazine does a WAY better job explaining why this is a problem you shouldn't just shrug away. Hope you give it a read.
