Apple is once again a 3 Trillion dollar company. They only understand 2 things 1) their image 2) their money. You won't be able to make them feel bad and change their minds about Zaps on Damus.

Well... Apple only has 25% of the world's smartphone marketshare. It's slowly growing. It used to be 15%. Android still dominants and will always be the number one solution because it's open and affordable to the world.
It's more of a duopoly.
They have ~60% in Western anglosphere countries. Apple really have skewed adoption rates
It's about 50/50 in the US now. It used to be about 60/40.
Yeah consider 5 Eyes. That’s effectively the market for the US Intelligence agencies where a provider like Apple can roll out common updates to feed back to their systems - that’s where this 50/50 or 60/40 ecosystem exists.
I say that as an Apple User. #nostr gives me a level of abstraction from the regime but realistically I know that every note is trackable.

You gotta think ahead and frontrun these changes. If I’m still in the 50/50 my model will have to change and likely I’m gonna need a new method to access #nostr unless my end-to-end security can improve.

So I care? No. Nostr doesn't need Apple. Many, many care though.
With bitcoin and hopefully nostr growing in the long run they will have to bend the knee.
