May I ask why the upgraded nostr chat widget from nostr:npub1z8gdrdvdvd5y3ex3np3ewrfklf44da0pes8nwmafhgzfafv3yhhq5rju0y has gone dark?
It was a bounty on [nostrbounties](https://nostrbounties.com/b/naddr1qq9rzd3cx5mrxv3exvuqygqqqqqqq7a0wdm4a2m7a5lfn8gr9engmquc8qhh05ct28lu07g4sgpsgqqqw4rs20r3ds) but it suddenly has gone dark? The upgraded version of a chat widget was really awesome and customizable and now they are all gone from all the websites I embedded it π
Surprisingly the bounty is still open and no one has claimed the reward even though the widget worked perfectly for the end users like myself.
It would be really cool if

I tried customizing it by myself but Svelte is breaking my brain!

I put to normal hosted version also back up again ( https://nostri-chat-hosted.f9ofwt.click ) (but idk if you should use it because dot click domains are blocked for some people)! And added a docker option for hosting if you're familiar with that.

My dot click domain was blocked for many people so thought it was better to shut down the hosted version. Will setup a new one when I have the chance to. But even better; if you have some dev experience you can host it for your self and you aren't dependent.
You can hist the whole thing yourself with yarn: `yarn install && yarn build && yarn preview`
Or just copy use the files from https://github.com/f90fwT/nostr-chat-widget/tree/main/static/public and use them in your website
And yes, nostr:npub1l2vyh47mk2p0qlsku7hg0vn29faehy9hy34ygaclpn66ukqp3afqutajft is welcome to merge it into his version if he wants:)

My dot click domain was blocked for many people so thought it was better to shut down the hosted version. Will setup a new one when I have the chance to. But even better; if you have some dev experience you can host it for your self and you aren't dependent.

Hi, that's wierd, it should work. Note that it can take up to 15 minutes before it appears on the front page because we currently use a cache sever and that you can only use a browser extention

If you're from #Bluesky, you may not be familiar with relays. These are our servers. Relays are the "dumb" powerhouses that allow Nostr to be decentralized. Here are the paid ones that I've been using for a very long time and always seem to be working and fast.

wss://nostr.wine
wss://relay.bitblockboom.com

You can buy access to them by entering the URL in your web browser. Just replace wss:// with https:// with one exception. The Nostr Plebs relay needs to be purchased via registering a Nostr address at https://nostrplebs.com
Why pay for a relay? Less spam in global/universe AND you get to give back to the relay operators. Paying for a service you use feels great.
A list of paid relays can be found here: https://relay.exchange
I recommend using both free and paid relays for the best experience. I also recommend not adding more than 12 relays to your profile. After that, your experience will start to slow down and you may experience other issues, depending on your client.

Just paid for eden.nostr.land last week, but for me it's very slow or does not work with sending notes (Using primarily coracle.social )

Yes those are good things. If you just want to protect against third parties it can be a option. But better whould be for regular browsing, using encrypted DNS, private browsing mode or clearing cookies/localStorage regularly ect. And for more sensitive browsing, using Tor.
