You've got a lot of great takes Saif, not so sure about this one. Do you value going back to the moon? If so, then this was a step towards that

LoL, going back to the moon? That's easy Artemis is doing that. Not that we couldn't do it 50 years ago.

The con artist musk says this thing is going to take us to Mars. Like 5 years ago. Not to mention international travel. Total fraud

If the free market valued it, they wouldn't need government subsidies.

Did the free market value the internet?

Ah, good question and critical thinking. Would the internet exist if it wasn't for central spending?

Perhaps it would but on a longer time frame. Read somewhere that those with excess can afford to spend frivolously, so governments and billionaires fit this.

Are there examples of the first mover not spending millions to get the free market to adopt the innovation? It would be great to learn from them.

I don't think you can compare a specific space program company to a nebulous term such as "the internet"? What do you mean by "the internet"? The protocols? The infrastructure? The applications running on top of it?

I don't value it enough to take food off my kids'dinner table to pay for it. I believe all the TV viewers who care about it should pay for it themselves, and the fact that they can only do it by robbing me tells me all I need to know

How much of their funding is subsidized? I’ll have to look into this. They are certainly much better free market actors than the other launch providers owned by Lockheed and Boing, no?

Right on.
