Yes, it seems that they have wormed their way into media, it's a very interesting phenomenon, although hardly the full story, given that Netflix has family ties to the godfather of propaganda, Edward Bernays.
Netflix is mandated to pump out bullshit, and I imagine that they have final say no matter the script.
