That butterflies in the stomach 🤣

Doing my first withdrawal from an exchange to cold storage was definitely never racking. Even though I did a $10 test transactions first 😆 I was still freaking out until it confirmed!

Dude! Seriously! I was like “WHY IS IT NOT THERE YET I THOUGHT IT WAS INSTANT WTF”

Tatum, they batch transactions, you’ll learn about that soon enough, and also, it was $5 it’s okay bro.

Those early days typing-out and triple-checking addresses 😅 Those q’s and g’s especially.

Thank goodness for QRs & NFCs. Such UX will soon be the old-school equivalent of dial-up modems.

Even with QR and copy/paste I still get nervous sometimes lol

I only get that way now when setting up a new source. I recently had it sending my CC rewards from Gemini. Nerves still still there lol

Lol

As you should be. ALWAYS double check copy/pasta because there are malicious viruses out there that will detect you have a btc address in your clipboard and switch it up.

Love it. Heart was POUNDING! Too cheap to pay the 50,000 sat withdrawal fee for a test. Had to check my math and trust myself. Took a while for my heart not to jolt every time I withdrew to cold storage.

Many years ago, like a pure psychopath, I sent my entire stack without testing first. Then it didn't show up. Then a day later, it still didn't show up. Then the next day, it was still gone & missing. Now keep in mind, this was fairly early in bitcoin's life and we didn't have the easy ways to educate ourselves about it (like pods, books, articles, etc) then that we do now. It was basically only Antonopolous & Mayer. So I didn't understand the technical side of things a whole lot and had no idea where all my bitcoin was. We also didn't have ways to really check the mempool, etc. back then. Well a week later, I had pretty much given up on my bitcoin. I was a bit bummed. It finally came back to my sending address 10 DAYS LATER! I guess I had sent it at 1sat/vb (like I always did) during a time where it just wasn't able to clear. So, yeah, that freaked me out a bit but also spurned me to learn about the technical side of bitcoin.
