In City AM in August 2023 I warned the Online Safety Bill would threaten encryption, empower unaccountable regulators and create the illusion of safety.
Now Labour claims it’s protecting children from harmful content.
In reality:
- Kids use VPNs
- Adults lose privacy
- Startups flee the UK
You’ve protected no one and compromised everyone.
