Yeah as the other dude says you can’t pull shots on stale beans. Like other food stuff they go bad. Keep some instant around for when you just need a drug fix haha
If you have a freezer, vacuum a bag of beans, dig to the bottom of your freezer (enjoy all the stuff you forgot about on your way), store it there. Stays well for more than a year, probably still "ok" in 2-3 years.
