Welcome πŸ™

Welcome to Nostr! Check out my memes if you want and feel free to follow if you like it 😁

No but is a protocol where it exists. The apps itself allow for censorship.

Welcome to Nostr!

Feel free to follow me if you like any of these subjects: I'm a soundscape musician, write about Philosophy, Bitcoin, Nostr, Parenting, Gaming, Anime, and regularly post homemade memes.

✌️

Thanks. Just learned about Nostr today. A soundscape musician, that sounds awesome. Do you work in Ableton or another DAW? I’m getting back into Ableton after a year off learning other things, like PowerBI.

Curious, where did you learn about it?

I work in FL :) Not that I have a point of reference, I always disliked the interface of others so I stuck by it.

HiπŸ™‹πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ. Welcome to #Nostr.

You’re welcome πŸ€—

Welcome to Nostr and the decentralized social future of communication πŸ«‚πŸ’œπŸ€™πŸ»

seems like it!

Yes. We use this super power to say good morning.

Welcome home !

A protocol where it does, yes. There are many different apps to use in case one becomes a bad actor. Welcome!

πŸ€— Welcome

1. set up Lightning wallet

2. publish a note and start the first sentence with GM

3. start the last note of the day with GN

4. be curious and see what happens

Welcome to Nostr! Apps can limit speech, but the protocol won't!

Amethyst and Iris use a social credit score system to censor nostr users

I turned that off, since I'm capable of making my own decisions. 😜

Is Nostr free enough?

Welcome!

Few things you should know:

1. get a check mark in #Nostr, there are few options, I suggest nostrcheck.me, once you get it, edit your profile and update your Nostr-Address, not having it will hide you in some clients

2. follow hashtags, a good way to find like minded people

3. think of your nsec as your Bitcoin private keys, act accordingly

4. chose a client that respect your privacy, meaning, you can sign in with a Signer protecting your nsec, it has TOR built in and above all, you can manage the relays you use. I suggest nostr:nprofile1qqs24yz8xftq8kkdf7q5yzf4v7tn2ek78v0zp2y427mj3sa7f34ggjcpzamhxue69uhhv6t5daezumn0wd68yvfwvdhk6tcppemhxue69uhkummn9ekx7mp0qyg8wumn8ghj7mn0wd68ytnddakj703s8dt t

5. add your lighting address in the profile so you can get zap, few options out there, I suggest nostr:nprofile1qqst4qyeqenw7zm0fwjsty68h6cnys5jre2xd8ngqpjv5a2j26s78fspzemhxue69uhhyetvv9ujucm0d9hx7uewd9hj75a0pev for most people

have fun!

it is, but you have to choose right and learn a bit the protocol to understand what clients are centralized and which are not, what wallets are custodial and which are not, you can run as well your own relay with star9 or Umbrel.

some clients censor and don't let you choose relays.
